Coast Hotels and Resorts Website Home PageHere is how The Level met Coasts needs:
Coast wanted to make it easier to keep its website content fresh.New promotions and events happen constantly at Coast Hotels & Resorts. To keep the site up to date with the latest information, non-technical staff can easily update website content anytime using WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors in any standard web browser.
Coast wanted to better cater to returning travelers.
A significant portion of Coasts business is driven from repeat customers. Coast wanted to make sure the site had the right tools to enable returning travelers to find information and make their reservations as quickly and easily as possible. To do this, Coast wanted to ensure reservations could be made from multiple areas of the site in 3 easy steps. An area on the home page allows users to easily check availability on rooms, or retrieve an existing reservation. Business users can use their company codes to quickly make a reservation from the home page. Other sections of the site are designed to better accommodate leisure travelers looking for special offers and promotions.
Coast wanted to drive event planning through its website.
Conferences and events provide a significant source of revenue for Coast. In order to better facilitate the process of planning and booking an event, forms were added so that event planners could use the website to fill in the many details of their event and any specials needs, then request a quote directly from a specific hotel. The forms have become a key marketing tool that has driven a higher number of event requests, while significantly lowering the cost for the hotels to respond with quotes and manage the bookings.
Coast needed to integrate with multiple existing 3rd party systems.
The Coast website was the first in North America to bring together multiple 3rd party systems to manage new and existing reservations using the Hotel Concepts online reservation system. The site also administers the Coast Rewards loyalty program with Ernex, and enables support staff to better service customers by doing an online website walk-through using the latest software from VitalChat.
Future Projects
Coast plans to use The Level to manage content throughout its enterprise. The company is currently considering other web applications including a company-wide intranet and an extension of its Ernex Rewards program integration.
